Write the title, description and Open Graph tags for a page, see how it looks in Google and as a shared link, and copy the HTML - or paste a page's head to check it.

Every page needs a good title and description for search results, and Open Graph tags so the link looks right when it's shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp or Slack. Fill in the form and watch a Google result and a link card update as you type, with length hints that warn before text gets cut off. Copy the finished HTML into your page's head. Already have a page? Paste its source to load the tags it has and see what's missing.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a title and description be?
Google cuts titles at about 600 pixels - roughly 50-60 characters - and descriptions at about 920 pixels, roughly 150-160 characters. Put the important words first. Google may rewrite either if it thinks another text matches the search better.
What size should the preview image be?
1200 × 630 pixels (1.91:1) works on Facebook, LinkedIn and X's large card. Keep text away from the edges, and use an absolute https:// URL - relative paths don't work in og:image.
Why aren't there separate twitter:title and twitter:image tags?
X reads og:title, og:description and og:image when its own tags are missing, so repeating them only adds weight. The generator adds twitter:card, which X does need, and your handle.
Is my page or HTML uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and the preview image is only loaded from its address when you click to show it. Your form is remembered on this device so you can come back to it.
