Will the alarm ring if I switch to another tab?

Yes. Browsers slow down timers in background tabs - sometimes to once a minute - which is why many online timers ring late. This one schedules the sound on the audio clock when you press Start, so it plays on time. Keep your device's sound on; on phones, keep the screen on (there's an option for that).

How do I set a timer for a specific time?

Tap a preset, or type a time into the box: a number is minutes ("5"), and you can also write "1:30", "90s" or "1h 20m". You can bookmark a timer too: add ?t=10m to the page address.

How does the Pomodoro timer work?

It alternates focus sessions (25 minutes by default) with short breaks (5 minutes), and after every fourth focus session gives you a long break (15 minutes). Change any length, and choose whether the next phase starts by itself or waits for you.
