Build a Markdown table in a grid or paste one from Excel, Google Sheets or CSV, set column alignment and copy neat Markdown or HTML - no upload.

Writing Markdown tables by hand means counting pipes and dashes. Type into the grid instead, or paste a range straight from Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, a CSV file or a table from a README, and the Markdown appears with its columns lined up. Set each column left, center or right, add or remove rows and columns, swap rows and columns, then copy the result as GitHub-flavoured Markdown or as an HTML table. Pipes inside cells are escaped and line breaks become <br>, so the table renders the same on GitHub, GitLab, Notion, Obsidian and most documentation sites.

Frequently asked questions

How do I paste from Excel or Google Sheets?
Select the cells, copy them (Ctrl+C or ⌘C) and paste into the box at the top. Spreadsheets copy as tab-separated text, which is read cell by cell; the first row becomes the header.
How does column alignment work in Markdown?
A colon in the divider row sets it: :--- for left, :---: for center and ---: for right. With no colon the renderer decides, usually left. Pick the alignment above each column and the divider is written for you.
Can a cell contain a pipe or a line break?
Yes. A | inside a cell is written as \| so it doesn't split the column, and a line break becomes <br>, which GitHub and most Markdown renderers show as a new line inside the cell.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Parsing and formatting happen in your browser, and the table is only remembered on this device so you can come back to it.
